Merseyside Police are very clear about the motive for Lucys murder.

In 1993 a young toddler named Kevin Downes was killed when a stolen motor vehicle knocked him over near his home in Huyton Liverpool 36. Gary Campbell, who would become Lucys partner, was a back seat passenger in that vehicle. two other youths were involved, One has changed his name and disapeared and the other has fled the city, Gary Campbell and his family were forced to leave the area. There was a clear and immediate threat to those involved in this horrific killing of an innoncent young child. Lucy would have cried for this child and his family.

Kevin would have been twenty one this year and Lucy twenty seven both innocent of any wrongdoing, lets hope there is a heaven.
